So I heard about this local club thing, Hallam Football Netball Club, from my neighbor Dave last Tuesday. He kept going on about how it’s great for families and fitness stuff. Figured I should check it out properly.
What I found about joining
First thing Wednesday morning I grabbed my laptop. Went straight to their page and saw this membership section. Was surprised how much you get:
- Free game tickets – saves heaps since I usually take the kids
- 20% discounts at their cafe – coffee addiction gets cheaper
- Priority sign-ups for kids clinics – those fill up crazy fast
- Special events just for members like BBQ days
Actually printed the benefits page because my wife keeps asking “why spend money?” – now I got proof it’s worth it.
How I signed up step by step
Thursday after work I sat down to actually join. Process was dead simple:
- Clicked the big red “Become Member” button
- Picked “Family Membership” from dropdown (best deal for us)
- Typed our names/ages in the form – kid stuff auto-filled cheaper rates
- Used PayPal for payment – didn’t even need to find my wallet
Got a confirmation email while I was still sitting there. Like literally two minutes later. Attached receipt showed all our membership numbers already.
What happened after joining
Next day I got this welcome pack in my regular email. Had digital membership cards we can show on phones. Already booked the kids into October netball clinic – normally full by now but we got spots.
Feels good supporting local club honestly. And saving $12 per coffee run means the membership pays for itself by Christmas. Should’ve done this years ago.
