Well, I’ve been a big fan of Steubenville Big Red football, and I’ve tried out these five ways to support them myself. Let me share the whole process with you.
Buy Team Merchandise
I started by heading to the local sports store. I walked around the store, looking at all the different Steubenville Big Red stuff. I picked up a jersey, feeling the fabric in my hands. It had the team’s logo right on the front, bright and bold. Then I grabbed a cap too. I put the cap on my head and looked at myself in the mirror. I thought, “Yeah, I look like a real fan!” I paid for the items and walked out of the store, feeling excited to show my support.
Attend Home Games
On game days, I’d get up early. I’d eat a big breakfast, like a couple of burgers and some fries, to give me energy for the whole day. Then I’d drive to the stadium. As I got closer, I could hear the noise from the crowd. When I walked into the stadium, the atmosphere was electric. I found my seat and sat down. I’d wave my team flag around, shouting and cheering every time the Big Red made a good play. I even did the wave with the other fans. It was so much fun!
Join Fan Clubs
I searched around online and found a local Steubenville Big Red fan club. I filled out a simple form to join. A few days later, I got an email saying I was in. I went to the first club meeting. There were a bunch of other fans there. We talked about the team, shared our favorite memories of the games. We also planned some group activities, like making posters to support the team. I used a big piece of cardboard and some colored markers to make a cool poster with a message like “Go Big Red!”

After each game, I’d take out my phone and start typing. I’d write about how awesome the team played, like “Dang, the Big Red was on fire today! That touchdown was insane!” I’d also post pictures of the game, like the players running on the field or the amazing plays. I’d use some popular hashtags, like #SteubenvilleBigRed and #FootballLove. And then I’d wait to see all the likes and comments from other fans. It was really cool to connect with other people who loved the team as much as I did.
Volunteer at Team Events
I signed up to volunteer at a team fundraiser event. When I got there, I was given a job to set up the tables and chairs. I carried the heavy tables one by one, sweating a bit but not caring. Then I helped with selling some raffle tickets. I walked around the crowd, saying things like “Hey, buy a raffle ticket to support the Big Red!” People were really nice and many of them bought tickets. At the end of the event, I felt really good because I knew I’d done something to help the team.
So, that’s my whole experience of supporting Steubenville Big Red football. It’s been a great journey, and I’ll keep doing these things to cheer them on!
