Alright, so you wanna know about this “Amerikatsi” movie, huh? Sounds like one of them fancy foreign films. Don’t know much about it myself, but I heard some folks talkin’.
First off, it’s playin’ in some of them big city theaters, you know, the ones with the comfy chairs and all. Like that fella down the road was sayin’, somethin’ about “Recliner Chair Loungers” they call ’em. Sounds mighty comfortable, gotta say. But I ain’t sure my old bones would wanna get up outta one of those things!
Now, where exactly is it showin’? That’s the tricky part. You gotta look around for them movie places with the big names, like “Cinemark” and “AMC.” Heard tell they got one of them “Cinemarks” over in Huntsville, Alabama. Yep, Huntsville. And they got somethin’ called “XD” too. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds like somethin’ the young folks would know.
Where to Find the Showtimes
To find out exactly when it’s playin’, you gotta do some diggin’. That’s what my grandson told me, anyway. He’s always on that computer thingamajig. Said there’s these websites, like “Fandango,” that tell you what movies are playin’ and when. Imagine that, a whole website just for movies! Back in my day, you just looked at the newspaper, if there even was a movie playin’ nearby.
- Look for websites like “Fandango”
- Check theater websites like “Cinemark” or “AMC”
- Sometimes you can even call the theater! Remember phone calls?
I heard this “Amerikatsi” movie started showin’ in September, somethin’ like September 8th, and it’s supposed to keep goin’ for a while, maybe till October 26th or somethin’. But don’t hold me to it, you best check them websites or call the theater to be sure.
What’s this Movie About?
Now, what’s this movie all about? Well, from what I gathered, it’s about some fella named Charlie. Seems he left Armenia when he was just a little tyke and went off to America. That’s where that “Amerikatsi” name comes from, I reckon. Means “American” in Armenian, or so they say. Anyway, Charlie comes back to Armenia years later, in 1948 to be exact, tryin’ to find his roots, whatever that means. Sounds like a whole lot of drama to me.
They say it’s a comedy and a drama, which sounds kinda confusing. Is it funny or sad? Can’t be both, can it? And they say it’s about the “resilience of the human spirit,” big words if you ask me. Just means folks are tough, I guess. And it’s about “bonds that unite us,” meaning we’re all kinda connected, I suppose.
Finding a Theater Near You
So, if you’re lookin’ to see this “Amerikatsi” movie, you gotta figure out where you live and what theaters are close by. If you’re in Huntsville, Alabama, that Cinemark place sounds like a good bet. They even got a bar there, if you’re into that kinda thing. And that fancy XD thing. But if you’re somewhere else, like Boston, they say it’s playin’ at the AMC Loews Boston Common 19. Got showtimes like 12:15 pm and 3:15 pm, but again, best check for yourself, times change and all.
Finding showtimes near you is all about lookin’ online or callin’ them theaters. Don’t be shy, they’re there to help you. And if you do end up seein’ this “Amerikatsi” movie, well, I hope it’s worth all the trouble!
That’s about all I know about it. Now you go on and find yourself a showtime and enjoy the picture show, ya hear?
