Well, I’ve always been a big fan of football, and one day I decided I wanted to join the Catholic Central Football Team. So, I started this whole process from scratch.

First off, I had to find out the basic requirements. I went to the school’s sports office and asked around. They told me I needed to be a student at Catholic Central, which was a no – brainer. And I also had to have a clean disciplinary record. I mean, no getting in trouble at school, no fights or anything like that. I was like, “Okay, I can handle that.”
Then, I had to get a physical exam. I went to my regular doctor and got all the necessary check – ups. They tested my heart, my lungs, and all my muscles. The doctor said I was in pretty good shape, but I still needed to work on my stamina a bit. So, I started running every morning before school. I’d run around the neighborhood, like five or six blocks. It was tough at first, but I kept at it.
Next up was registering for the try – outs. I filled out a form at the sports office. They needed my name, my contact info, and some basic details about my football experience. I wrote down that I’d played on a local community team before, nothing too fancy, but it showed I had some skills.
The day of the try – outs finally came. I was so nervous. There were a bunch of other guys there, all looking eager to make the team. The coach started us off with some warm – up exercises. We did some stretching, some jogging around the field. Then, we got into the real stuff. We did passing drills, shooting drills, and some small – sided games.
I was trying my best, but I made a few mistakes. I missed a couple of passes and my first shot at goal went wide. But I didn’t give up. I kept pushing myself. During the small – sided games, I managed to score a couple of goals and make some good passes. I could tell the coach was watching me.

After the try – outs, I had to wait for the results. It was the longest few days of my life. I was checking my phone every five minutes to see if I’d got an email or a message. Finally, I got an email from the coach. He said I’d made the team! I was so excited, I almost jumped out of my chair.
So, that’s how I joined the Catholic Central Football Team. It wasn’t easy, but it was totally worth it. Now, I’m part of a great team, and I’m having a blast playing football every week.
