Okay so those Real Madrid kits finally landed on my doorstep yesterday, the big box with the Adidas stripes looking all fancy and official. Been buzzing for this since I saw the leaks. Snagged both the home and the away, you know, gotta see them in the flesh.

First up, ripped into the box. Real Madrid packaging is always slick, gotta give ’em that. Pulled out the home kit first. That classic white, obviously. Held it up and yeah, it feels light. The material, Adidas calls it something fancy, but to me it just feels like a really smooth, breathable t-shirt, like the good kind you’d wear on a hot day. Nice.
The big change everyone’s talking about? The collar. It’s this kinda ribbed navy blue polo neck thing now. Wasn’t sure just looking at pics, but putting it on? Feels snug but not tight, like it sits well. Proper different from last year’s.
Now the big bold bit: the sponsor across the chest. Emirates. Looks clean against the white, stands out but not in a trashy way. Sharp. Felt the badge – the club crest and the Adidas logo. They’ve kinda fused the Real Madrid crown thing with the Adidas stripes at the bottom of the badge this year? Interesting touch. Feels heat-pressed, solid.
Then got the away kit out. Woah. The colour! All over the promo stuff it looked kinda like a dark teal/green, right? But holding it? Under my kitchen light, it had this purple shift happening. Really deep, rich colour. Like a bruise, but in a good way? Weird description, but true. Material felt similar to the home, maybe a tiny bit thicker? Could be the colour tricking my eyes.
Tried both on for size. Got my usual size. Home felt spot on, maybe a fraction looser than last season’s, moves well. The away felt identical fit-wise.

Quick Run Down of Thoughts After Trying:
- Collar Situation: The home collar is definitely different! Takes a second to get used to, but feels alright. Away has a normal collar. Simpler.
- Colour Shocker: Away kit colour changes depending on the light! Much darker and more purple-tinted in person than online. Home is crisp, clean white.
- Comfort Level: Both feel lightweight and stretchy where they need to be. Good for actual movement, like kicking a ball around.
- Overall Vibe: Home feels classy and updated. Away is bold and kinda stealthy in that dark colour. Both scream “Real Madrid” but definitely freshened up.
Was It Worth It?
Honestly? Yeah. Sometimes you gotta see this stuff in your hands, feel the fabric, try it on. Photos never tell the whole story. For playing or just wearing around town? Both seem decent quality. The away colour shifting thing is wild – photos make it look greener, but trust me, it’s got major purple vibes in person too. Adidas did an interesting job this year. Different, but grows on you. The home collar? Still not fully sold long-term, feels a bit stiff maybe, but it’s unique. Need to see how it wears after a few washes!
