So my kid got into the Highland High football team this year, freshmen squad. Awesome, right? But man, trying to find their whole schedule for 2025 online felt like pulling teeth. Let me tell you how I finally nailed it down.
The Wild Goose Chase Begins
First thing I did was open my laptop after dinner, fired up a browser. Typed in highland high school football 2025 schedule real quick, hit enter. Boom – tons of results popped up. Most were these generic sports sites. Clicked a few, looked promising at first, but then hit dead ends. Either no dates listed for Highland specifically, or it was just stuff about rankings, no actual game times. Super frustrating. Wasted like 20 minutes digging through that mess.
Finally had the bright idea, why not check the actual school website? Went straight to the Highland High homepage. Easy to find? Ha! Navigated to “Athletics”, then “Sports Teams”, found Football. Clicked on it… a broken link. Seriously? Tried again, found another page about the team’s history and some coach bios. Still nothing useful for the schedule.
- Scrolled down to the bottom of the athletics page.
- Saw a tiny section called “Calendar of Events”. Jackpot? Maybe!
- Clicked it, hoping football was there.
Nope. Total bust. Mostly just stuff like parent-teacher nights and choir concerts. Zero sports. Started getting really annoyed at this point.
The Lightbulb Moment
Almost gave up. Then I remembered last year’s booster club emails. Dug through my super cluttered inbox, searching “highland football”. Finally found an old email chain about fundraising. Buried way down, one random message mentioned something about schedules being on a separate “District Athletic Hub”. Why didn’t they make this obvious?
Back to the Highland High site I go. Did another scan. Hidden near the very bottom footer text, mixed in with boring stuff like site policies, was a tiny link saying “District Athletics Calendar”. Why they gotta hide it like that? Clicked it.
Boom! Finally landed on a proper district-wide sports page. Found a dropdown menu labeled “Select School”, picked Highland High. Another dropdown for “Sport”, obviously picked Football. And another for “Season”, hit Varsity 2025. Then BAM – the whole grid loaded up!
- Could see every single game date nice and clear.
- Listed opponents too – home and away games.
- Start times were right there next to the date.
- Even had locations for away games.
Printed that bad boy out immediately. Sat back feeling pretty smug I cracked the code. Only took an hour of clicking around like a headless chicken!
