Hey, guys! I’m here to share my experience on how to care for NBA coats and keep them looking brand – new.

Step 1: Check the Labels
First off, when I got my shiny new NBA coat, the very first thing I did was to check the care labels. You know, those little tags inside the coat. They tell you a lot, like if it can be machine – washed or if it needs to be dry – cleaned. I once ignored the label and threw a coat in the washer, and it shrank like crazy! So, always read that label carefully.
Step 2: Pre – treat Stains
After wearing the coat out to a game or just hanging around, chances are there’ll be some stains. I usually spot – treat them right away. If it’s a small food stain, I grab a bit of mild detergent and a soft cloth. I gently rub the stain in a circular motion. For tougher stains, like mud or something, I let the detergent soak in for a few minutes before I start rubbing. This step really helps in getting rid of those pesky stains before the washing process.
Step 3: Wash the Coat
Once the stains are pre – treated, it’s time to wash the coat. If the label says it’s machine – washable, I use a gentle cycle with cold water. Hot water can mess up the colors and the fabric. I also throw in a little bit of that mild detergent. I don’t go overboard with it; too much detergent can leave a residue. And I make sure to zip up all the zippers and fasten all the buttons to prevent them from getting damaged during the wash.
Step 4: Dry the Coat
After the wash, it’s drying time. I never put my NBA coat in the dryer. The heat can shrink the coat and make it lose its shape. Instead, I lay it flat on a clean towel and reshape it while it’s still wet. I smooth out any wrinkles and make sure the sleeves and the body are in the right position. Then I let it air – dry naturally. It takes a bit longer, but it’s worth it to keep the coat looking good.
Step 5: Store the Coat Properly
Once the coat is dry, I hang it up in my closet using a wide – shouldered hanger. This helps the coat keep its shape. I also make sure to keep it away from direct sunlight because the sun can fade the colors. And if there’s a long time between wears, I might put it in a garment bag to protect it from dust.

Following these steps, I’ve managed to keep my NBA coats looking new for a long time. Give it a try, and you’ll see the difference!
