Alright, let me tell you about my experience of joining and trying to succeed in French rugby union clubs.

First off, I started with some basic research. I looked up different rugby clubs in France on the internet. There were so many! I narrowed down my choices to a few local clubs near where I lived. I checked out their websites to see what kind of training they offered, their schedules, and the fees.
After that, I decided to visit one of the clubs. I showed up at their training session unannounced. It was a bit nerve – wracking at first. I introduced myself to the coach and some of the players. They were pretty friendly, and the coach invited me to join in a light practice. I jumped at the chance and got stuck in right away.
During the practice, I tried my best to follow the instructions. There were a lot of new moves and plays that I had to learn. I made some mistakes, but the other players helped me out and gave me tips. After the practice, the coach talked to me and said I could join the club if I wanted to. I didn’t hesitate and signed up on the spot.
Once I became a member, the real work began. I attended the regular training sessions three times a week. These sessions were intense! We did a lot of running, strength training, and rugby – specific drills. I got really tired at first, but I kept pushing myself.
To improve my skills, I also watched a lot of rugby games on TV. I picked up some new strategies and moves from the pros. I practiced these moves on my own during my free time.

When it came to the club’s matches, I was eager to play. But at first, I was only on the bench for most games. I felt a bit disappointed, but I kept working hard in training. Finally, after a few months, I got my chance to play in a game. I was so excited! I ran onto the field and gave it my all.
During the game, I tried to remember everything I had learned in training. I made some good plays and even scored a try. The feeling was amazing! After the game, the coach praised me and said I had a lot of potential. That really motivated me to keep going.
As time went on, I played more and more games for the club. I built up my confidence and my skills. I made some great friends among the players, and we supported each other both on and off the field.
So, that’s my story of joining and trying to succeed in a French rugby union club. It wasn’t easy, but with hard work and a bit of luck, I’m starting to make my mark.
